My Approach to Teaching

I believe that each person has a unique and deeply personal relationship with yoga. No two bodies, histories, or hearts are the same — and neither should anyone’s practice be. My teaching is rooted in the traditional Indian understanding that yoga is not a one-size-fits-all path, but a living, breathing journey that honours diversity in every form.

Whether I am guiding Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha, or Yin, my intention is to meet each student exactly where they are. I teach with presence, sensitivity, and curiosity — offering variations, functional alignment, and mindful adjustments that respect the individuality of every practitioner. Rather than shaping students to fit the practice, I shape the practice to support the student.

My classes weave strength and softness, stillness and movement, structure and flow. I value technique, but I value self-awareness even more. The true purpose of practice, to me, is not perfecting a pose, but creating a space where you can listen — to your breath, your body, and the quiet wisdom beneath it all.

As a lifelong student myself, I keep deepening my studies in Ashtanga in Mysore and evolving my understanding of Yin. These experiences remind me to stay humble, to keep learning, and to teach from a place of sincerity rather than authority.

My hope is that each class feels like an invitation — to explore, to feel, to be curious, and ultimately, to connect with yourself in the most honest and compassionate way. Yoga is a tool, a mirror, and a homecoming. I’m simply here to hold the space for your journey.
